Dibattitu - Mobilità

The first right of a European citizen is the right to travel, work and live anywhere in the Union. It means:

Freedom of movement for students: the EU established a system of mutual recognition of higher education qualifications and launched ERASMUS, the student exchange programme which enables students to undertake a period of study abroad.
Recognition of professional qualifications: EU recognised some professional qualifications in order to help make labour markets more flexible and simplify administrative procedures.
Freedom of movement for workers: migrant workers have the same rights as nationals of the host country.
Which challenges to be faced?
The challenge facing the EU today is to create a genuine "mobility area" in which freedom of movement is not merely a statutory right but also a day-to-day reality for people of Europe.

Which are in your opinion the main conditions and services to support mobility of young people?

Have you ever studied or worked abroad? Do you think mobility is a useful tool to achieve European integration and cross-cultural understanding?

Do you think mobility is an important opportunity for the realisation of the EU's full economic and social potential?
