Of course, the second languageI think we already have the second language, i.e. English, which is easy to learn and very convenient for everyone to use. Of course, the second language could as well be French or Spanish, but they are more difficult to learn, so I don’t see the possibility for these languages to be chosen as the second.
I think that the English language which is kind of official second EU language is the most convenient when you talk about the second language. Any efforts trying to choose one official second language would bring the EU to chaos, because all the nations would like their language to be chosen!! :)

The spillover connected with immigration is not appreciable in our country, like it is e.g. the UK. But this question/problem will inevitable immerge in the near future, so authorities must have a plan how to deal with it.

Having members in over 35 countries in Europe, it is one of the main Youth Lobby Groups, lobbying the European Parliament [EP].
JEF looks to organising the EU in a federalist structure, that way it is more inclusive of its citizens in the decision making process; the EP has the deciding power; the Union speaks as one voice in Foreign Policy; has common laws on most issues, & each country & region shares its autonomy-making the EU more of a global player, with a more coherent working body, & a forward looking social market economy.
JEF offers all those interested, various international & local opportunities such as seminars, conferences, conventions, training courses, exchanges, stages & the like, wherein they may compliment their education, & expand their knowledge, promoting the organisation’s ethos.
JEF is a member of the European Youth Forum & the Union of European Federalists, having close ties with the European Movement International. JEF Malta is a member of KNZ – Kunsill Nazzjonali taż- Żgħażagħ, KSU – Kunsill Studenti Universitarji, European Movement Malta and the Euro-Med Youth Platform

Prof. Peter Serracino Inglott was the Maltese Government's representative on the Convention for the Future of Europe. He was the only representative to be also a member of the clergy. We ask him if and how should God be mentioned in the EU Constitution. He replies that while God is not explicitly mentioned He is present in the constitution. God's presence is manifested in the Human Ideal that the constitution puts forward, in the ideals of Solidarity, and Brotherhood that Europe values. While hidden, God is already manifest in the proposed text for the constitution.(more)(less)

Prof. Peter Serracino Inglott was the Maltese Government's representative on the Convention for the Future of Europe. We ask him if the EU Constitution is as extinct as a dinosaur or a seed that still needs to grow. He tells us that there is a need to revitalise the ideals of the Union in view of the new context the the EU finds itself in today. The proposed Constitution has sown the seed of that something, that text, that can create an enthusiasm in European Ideals. But the document as it is today, as volumes of laws and cryptic statements, is a monster that is as dead as the dinosaurs.(more)(less)
